The Bell Tour was one of my favourite experiences in Perth. Dont be put off by the thought of stairs. The stairs are a gentle rise to each level where you can rest if needed but there is also a lift if you prefer. The Anzac bell on last level before viewing deck is something to behold. Such an unusual attraction, so glad the effort was made to bring all these wonderful bell together. Hats off to the people with forsight to save these amazing historical items.

The architecture was simply awesome. The receptionist was very polite and helpful. We had the pleasure of having Howard who guided us through the history of the bells etc. It was such a lovely learning experience. Thank you Bell Tower.

Nice clean buses with informative commentary and you do cover a lot of Perth so it is a good way to get a feel for what you might want to return to. We enjoyed the tour and I know it is difficult in running a business but a bit more frequency (ie more buses) would be a step forward.

I boarded the Perth Explorer at Elizabeth Quay and was welcomed by a most friendly driver. The family ahead of me had a small child who was given a koala you. Sadly I was deemed too old! However I was able to buy a 'concession' ticket as an over 60's tourist. The commentary was timed well and clearly audible. As the tourist numbers are lower than other cities the bus only departs at hourly intervals. Be mindful of this when you hop off! I would thoroughly recommend the Perth Explorer. As always a great way to get the feel of a city and see it's highlights.

This is a fabulous way to get the most of out of your trip to Perth. If you are short on time and would like to view the top attractions then this is the way to do it! You can hop on at various locations and hop off at various attractions and spent as much time as you would like there. The buses run on a schedule and didn't miss a beat. It is fun and very inexpensive and you can upgrade your tour and include tours to Fremantle and Rottnest Island. My only critique is that the buses need some loving care. The interior is a bit run down and seeing this is mostly a tourist attraction, I would say you want to showcase the best and not the worst.

About your visit to The Bell Tower

The Bell Tower is located at stop 1 on your Perth Hop On Hop off Bus Tour. The tower is famous for its collection of bells that date back to the 14th century. The twelve bells from St Martin-in-the-Fields church in London were recast several times over the centuries, before being gifted to Western Australia in 1988 to celebrate the country’s bicentenary. While you are at the tower, you’ll take part in the interactive Bell Tower Experience — a behind-the-scenes tour of the bell ringing chamber with a knowledgeable guide. It includes the opportunity to ring a bell yourself.

Note: The Bell Tower is closed on Sundays. The Bell Tower Experience operates every half hour between 10.30am and 2.30pm from Monday to Saturday (except at 11.30am), and is subject to availability. Please arrive early to book in for your preferred tour time.
