From the pick up to the drop off, loved every second of this. Comfy transport, great views, great people and great tour guide! Not to mention the wine. My friend and I took this trip together and boy were we happy with it. As two English girls, we do like our alcohol but it was a real treat to learn more about the making of our delicious friend. Each spot we stopped at had scenic views and a certain type of wine they specialised in so it was good to get that variety. My favourite was the last spot where we were welcome with waggy tails as two dogs approached the van and remained my best friends throughout. 10/10 trip. Definitely a must do!

I didn't know what to expect when I signed up for the Hunter Valley wine tour, but I definitely was not disappointed! Jason is a great tour guide and combined a perfect balance of relaxed environment and tight control. I felt we spent the perfect amount of time at each location and I met some really cool people along the way. Thanks for making my trip to Australia even better!

What You Can Expect

Enjoy a day of wonderful scenery, wine tastings and good company on this popular Hunter Valley Wine Tour from Sydney with Lunch. Departing the CBD, you’ll head over the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge and on towards the rolling green hills of the Hunter Valley — one of the country’s oldest and most famous wine producing regions.

This full day exploration of the Hunter Valley includes a variety of food and wine experiences, designed to showcase the valley’s diverse wine and food offering. Tantalise your taste buds as you visit a carefully curated selection of cellar doors and gourmet producers for tastings.

In terms of the all-important wine, the valley is most famous for its semillons — but it also produces shiraz, chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon and verdelho drops. You’ll sample a range of wines at three distinctive cellar doors, selected for their commitment to providing a great customer experience and an innovative approach to winemaking. The cellar doors visited on this Hunter Valley Wine Tour from Sydney with Lunch vary depending on the day, but they rotate between Iron Gate Estate, Savannah Estate, Constable Estate, Tempus Two, Roche Estate, Mount View Estate, Tintilla Estate Wines, Gundog Estate, and Mistletoe Winery.

You’ll also enjoy a delicious cafe lunch in the fabulous Hunter Valley Garden Village. The lunch venue is usually either And the Winner is Oscar or the Cypress Lakes Country Club. Lunch options include a choice of baguettes, salad, freshly baked pies, fish and chips, burgers, and a coffee, tea or soft drink. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options are available. After lunch, you’ll have the opportunity to browse the village’s eclectic boutiques and galleries.

After a relaxed day of sipping and sampling, this Hunter Valley Wine Tour from Sydney with Lunch returns to Sydney by around 6.30pm.
