This was a great day. Our guide was very knowledgeable and attentive throughout the day. The bus was noisy and very uncomfortable and at times could not hear the commentary from the driver. Once at the wineries it was a very enjoyable day. The cheese and wine tasting was the best part.

I highly recommend this day trip! It was so much fun! The driver, Cheeky was full of interesting facts about the area and good humor. He also went out of his way to make sure our group got plenty of opportunities to see and photograph kangaroos. The trip was well organized and we had lovely weather! We stopped at three wineries,a distillery and chocolate shop for a tasting which were each set up to accommodate our tour group of 7. Make sure you try the caramel vodka and chili vodka if you like a bit of spice! My favorite winery was Hermitage Road Cellars, the tasting guide, Terry was pleasant and knowledgeable. Make sure to ask for a tasting of their special fortified wine that has a brandy mixture. Delicious! I also really enjoyed the included lunch at Matilda Bay Hunter Valley Brewhouse. The views through Hunter Valley are breathtaking!

We loved our wine tour, with the exception of the first winery (the wine was just ok and the sommelier was a bit snooty and did not like our group talking to each other) Our tour guide Sam was amazing and he even took us to a spot where he knew kangaroos would be hanging out for us to take pictures.

Cheese tasting was done straight after eating lunch when everyone was full would have been better earlier or later in the day. We had a lot of time where we were running early could easily have done another winery. The chocolate shop was really just a stop to buy chocolate.

This trip was great from start to finish, the day was very well paced and Sam was great, friendly and very talkative. The first stop at De Iuliis was great very professional showed us how to taste and sip wine and what to look for, gave us a list of what we were tasting and the flavors. Not that the other places were bad but I would have liked to of seen them as organized as De Iuliis was. All 3 places had some wonderful wines to sample and the cheese was amazing at the the second stop. Lunch was great, and I believe everyone in the group enjoyed it. The vodka and the liquors were interesting and very tasty, I could have spent the whole day there tasting and sampling their products haha. And a nice finish stopping of at the chocolate shop with some samples or chocolate and fudge to try. Only fault I would like to point out is the bus is a little uncomfortable not much leg room and the seats are little hard on the backside. But other then that even tho it is a long day it is worth it and I will be recommending this tour to friends and family.

We had a blast with Billy and the folks we met on our tour. I was pleasantly surprised when we got to try several Semillon wines, as that is my favorite wine from the Northwest in the USA - and it's one of Hunter Valley's specialties. The tastings were very informative and well run. OMG the wine and cheese pairings - soooo good. And after lunch we also had time to buy a paddle of beer to taste - as The Resort had food, wine and beers. Three wineries in total, and then to the distillery - the gin was nice, I'm not a vodka person but my husband enjoyed the many flavors to try. Finally we ended at a chocolate shop - so many options. Then we had a snooze on the bus on the ride back to Sydney - what a great day.
