The overall tour with Lee-Ann was very informative and a good mix of different areas of the city both in the centre and around the immediate outskirts also.

  • Jenny K – Via TripAdvisor

We highly recommend this very interesting tour of inner Brisbane. Lee-Anne shared her knowledge of the history and stories of the city. She effortlessly identified our interests and personalised the tour to highlight areas of particular relevance to us. We had a fabulous time which included discovering many hidden gems and enjoyed a great coffee on this tour.

  • What You Can Expect

This Brisbane Walking Tour is a wonderful way to get under the skin of the modern metropolis that is the Queensland capital. The three-hour tour usually takes a maximum of eight guests, ensuring that no one feels overwhelmed by the group size and that you’ll be able to hear your guide’s commentary with ease.

The tour begins in the Queen Street Mall — the city pedestrianised shopping precinct. From there, you’ll move off on foot at a leisurely pace to take in many of the key sights across the city centre.

See historic King George Square — home to City Hall and the iconic Clock Tower. At almost 90 metres high, the tower was the tallest structure in Brisbane when City Hall opened in 1930. You’ll also have a chance to admire the stunning interior of the heritage-listed Brisbane Arcade, which dates back to the 1920s.

Laneway culture has come to Brisbane in recent years and you’ll visit a CBD laneway to see some examples of the vibrant street art that is breathing new life into disused thoroughfares.

At the southern end of the CBD you’ll learn about the City Botanic Gardens, originally used to grow food for the convict population and for experimental plantings. Some of the original specimens survive to this very day.

You’ll also see the soaring Story Bridge, Old St Stephen’s Church (the oldest church in Queensland), and the bustling Eagle Street Pier — where your Brisbane Walking Tour concludes.

For an engaging introduction to the Queensland capital, this Brisbane Walking Tour is a must-do. Enjoy!
