Flinders had been really brilliant leading us around all the areas and through the spectacular hike paths! Definitely recommended for anyone who would love to go to the Blue Mountains!

Whenever tourists go on a tour they expect the weather to satisfy their expectations. Well, that doesn’t always happen. The good news though is that there is no bad weather - there are bad clothes and bad guides. Luckily for us, our guide Jason and good waterproof clothing made our rainy and foggy blue mountains experience one of the best we could get. Jason was attentive to keep us protected under the trees and rock formations during our bush walk; told us stories and spotted wildlife (we saw a lyrebird!!); hunted the rare seconds when the fog would clear away; kept cheerful attitude and made us appreciate the land we were standing upon.

I highly recommend this tour. The guide was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the history of the area, both Aboriginal and recent. Thank you for a great day!

What You Can Expect

If you want to escape the Sydney CBD and immerse yourself fully in the beauty of the Blue Mountains National Park, this Blue Mountains Bushwalking Tour from Sydney is for you. You’ll enjoy a day getting up close and personal with a region that encompasses rugged mountain peaks, sweeping canyons and valleys, and soaring sandstone escarpments. The true panoramic beauty of the Blue Mountains cannot be fully experienced from a bus. You have to actively explore the landscape — and that’s what you’ll have the opportunity to do on this tour!

Once guest pick-ups from Central railway station are completed, you’ll set off across the Sydney Harbour Bridge in comfortable air-conditioned transport, and head west towards the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains National Park. Your friendly guide will introduce themselves and the rest of the group, and outline your itinerary for the day.

Your first stop on this Blue Mountains Bushwalking Tour from Sydney will be at the foot of the majestic range at Euroka for the opportunity to spot kangaroos grazing in the still morning air. You’ll visit a natural clearing where kangaroos and other wildlife can often be seen. Some will allow you to get close enough to snap a selfie!

From there you’ll continue travelling up the Blue Mountains range through picturesque and historic townships. You’ll have a short break in the town of Glenbrook to grab some snacks or a coffee to fuel up for your  upcoming bushwalk.

The walk itself will take around 1.5 hours and is fully guided. As you hop off the bus and make your way into the wonderful Australian bush, the smell of eucalyptus will assault your senses. Have your camera ready as incredible vistas open up before you. You’ll enjoy amazing views across the Jamison Valley, and see the breathtaking Wentworth Falls.

By the end of the walk you’ll have worked up quite an appetite, and this Blue Mountains Bushwalking Tour from Sydney includes a picnic-style lunch.

From there, you’ll continue on by bus to the town of Katoomba — home to the spectacular Three Sisters rock formation at Echo Point. You’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the extraordinary views, and your guide will share information about the native flora and fauna. You’ll also learn about the Indigenous heritage connected with the landscape you see before you.

Your Blue Mountains Bushwalking Tour from Sydney arrives back in the Harbour City at around 5.30pm — with one drop off point at Central railway station.

Spend your precious visit to the Blue Mountains actively engaging with the landscape, rather than being a passive onlooker. You won’t be disappointed!
