'I can’t rate this tour highly enough. I was in two minds whether to book, but having now experienced it first hand, it’s a no brainer. Make it the first thing you book! The wildlife park was good, but the Blue Mountains are the main attraction and they are out of this world. Our driver and tour guide Jed was brilliant throughout. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He's a true gent. Enjoy this amazing tour!' - Ray L (via TripAdvisor)

The Blue Mountains day tour was amazing! Our tour guide/bus driver Jed was both friendly and informative. As a solo traveler, this tour was exactly what I was looking for. I was able to visit Featherdale and the Blue Mountains without having to navigate the route myself. I absolutely feel it was worth the price and would book again in a heartbeat!

Graham our tour guide for the day was very friendly and knowledgable and the day itself was great. With visits to a wildlife park to feed Kangaroos and cuddle Koalas, Lunch in the Blue Mountains town of Leura, and amazing views of the three sisters before traveling back to Sydney via a ferry from Olympic park. overall a really memorable, great day spent in the Blue Mountains!!

The site seeing tour for the Blue Mountains is worth the price and service. Our tour guide Simon, kept all the customers well-informed and taken care of. Pickup does occur at one of the major hotels and includes multiple stops for photos and a little history of the region. Since most of the customers on the tour are foreigners. The tour guide provides a brief history of Australia and its connection to colonization, aborigines and the Blue Mountains area. The cost of the trip does not include a visit to Scenic World, which is an additional $40+ per person in cash.

A little touristy and crowded this time of year. Just too many people to enjoy . I probably would of went by myself without a tour. Rent a car and go at your own pace. Always felt rushed.

What You Can Expect

Don’t just see the Blue Mountains west of Sydney — see, touch, taste and smell the landscape during this superb boutique Blue Mountains Day Tour from Sydney with Lunch. This is probably the most relaxed of our Blue Mountains tours and offers a totally immersive experience. For example, you’ll have extra time at the Three Sisters rock formation at Echo Point in Katoomba to take a short optional bushwalk down to the first of the soaring stone monoliths, cross the footbridge high above the valley floor, and touch this age-old sentinel overlooking the Jamison Valley. And that’s just one of the highlights of this incomparable day out!

Once selected CBD hotel pick-ups have been completed, you’ll depart Sydney in a comfortable, air-conditioned coach. Your first stop is the renowned Featherdale Wildlife Park at Doonside. Here you’ll have the opportunity to meet a range of native Australian animals. There are wallabies and kangaroos to hand-feed, and beautiful birds to admire. It’s also a chance for visitors to learn about Australia’s endangered species.

After departing the wildlife park, this Blue Mountains Day Tour from Sydney with Lunch begins to climb the Blue Mountains proper — passing through several small towns and villages. Your next stop is the quaint village of Leura, which is renowned for its stunning gardens. You’ll have time to explore the main street’s boutiques, before settling in to a charming eatery for your included two-course lunch.

From there, you’ll head over to the larger township of Katoomba for a clifftop drive overlooking the magnificent Jamison Valley. It’s Australia’s answer to the Grand Canyon! The scenic drive includes your stop at Echo Point and that walk down to the first of the mighty Three Sisters. Enjoy the fragrant scent of the Australian bush along the way.

After a busy day of sightseeing, it’s time to take it easy on the return trip to Sydney. You’ll board a river cruise boat at Homebush Bay Wharf and enjoy a relaxing trip along the Parramatta River to the CBD. Admire the magnificent homes that line the river and cruise right under the soaring Sydney Harbour Bridge. The tour ends at Circular Quay.

This Blue Mountains Day Tour from Sydney with Lunch is the perfect mix of stunning scenery, delicious flavours, and good company — underscored with commentary from your knowledgeable guide. It all adds up to a fabulous day out!
