‘My son and daughter-in-law gave us a gift of this wonderful experience. From start to finish it was perfectly organised. Our guide Helen had a very friendly and outgoing personality, and her knowledge of Sydney and its food and beverage precincts was fabulous. She took us to some great restaurants and bars and we enjoyed the food. I would highly recommend this tour to local, interstate or overseas visitors.’ Heloise A

What you can expect
For those looking for more than just another Sydney city tour, this Tastes of Sydney Food Tour could well be the answer. You’ll travel in comfortable air-conditioned transport and explore four very distinctive parts of Sydney that many visitors to the city miss entirely! Together with your local foodie guide, you’ll visit the inner-city, up-cycled culinary enclaves of Barangaroo, Rozelle, Rosebery and Chippendale. Here’s a bit of the backstory on each.
Barangaroo (CBD fringe)— Once a working wharf, this gleaming harbourside edifice is now a curated dining and shopping hotspot.
Tramsheds (Rozelle) — The restored Rozelle Tram Depot — originally constructed in 1904 — is now home to a merry band of providores who share a love of food and community. [More]
The Cannery (Rosebery)— With its industrial chic vibe, the Cannery is a fun and flavour-filled haven of innovative cuisine.
Kensington Street (Chippendale)— This inner-city fringe brewery conversion is now one of the hottest places to chow down in Sydney.
Over the six food-glorious-food-filled hours on this Tastes of Sydney Food Tour, you’ll visit each precinct and enjoy some of its signature tastes. For example, you’ll sample the spices of the Middle East at Anason Turkish restaurant in Barangaroo. At the Tramsheds, you’ll dine in a 1904 tramcar that’s been converted into a slick eatery, while at the Cannery, you’ll indulge in some liquid refreshment at the Archie Rose gin distillery. Finally, at lantern-festooned Spice Alley in Chippendale, you’ll enjoy mouth-watering hawker-style street eats.
Your Tastes of Sydney Food Tour concludes with a wine tasting of six premium drops selected by an in-house sommelier at the Handpicked Wines cellar door in Chippendale. It’s a perfect end to a delicious day, but the evening lies ahead. If you decide to stay on in the Kensington Street precinct, ask your guide for a cracker restaurant recommendation for dinner!

Our guide Helen had a very friendly and outgoing personality, and her knowledge of Sydney and its food and beverage precincts was fabulous. She took us to some great restaurants and bars and we enjoyed the food. The pace of the tour was relaxed, and the best part of the day was been driven around in the comfortable air-conditioned coach. I would highly recommend this tour to local, interstate or overseas visitors.
