‘What a great tour! We saw so much in just one day. I would definitely recommend it to people who have limited time in Sydney and want to see a lot of the Blue Mountains in one go. To make it even better, our tour guide Mark provided us with some local history, which made the tour educational as well.’ Maria

What you can expect
When it comes to seeing the best of the Blue Mountains, this Jenolan Caves, Blue Mountains and Scenic World Tour from Sydney really is the complete package! Not only will you enjoy the famous valley vistas that the mountains are absolutely renowned for and ride the world-famous Scenic Railway, Cableway and Skyway at Scenic World, but you’ll also head underground to explore one of Australia’s most famous cave systems. It’s an action-packed day out!
Once CBD hotel pick-ups have been completed, you’ll travel by comfortable air-conditioned coach directly to Jenolan Caves on the western slopes of the Blue Mountains. You’ll arrive just in time for your fully guided tour of the famous Lucas Cave with a cave expert. The largest chamber — The Cathedral — is renowned for having perfect acoustics, and is often used for concerts and other musical events. Think of it as the oldest performance venue in the world! The evocative lighting used throughout the cave really adds to the atmosphere, and this guided tour is an unforgettable experience. [More]
Following your cave tour, there’s time to grab a quick bite to eat from Trails Bistro at historic Caves House. The guesthouse dates back to 1896. Take a stroll by the Blue Lake where you may be lucky enough to spot a platypus!
Your next stop on this Jenolan Caves, Blue Mountains and Scenic World Tour from Sydney is Echo Point in the mountain township of Katoomba for a photo opportunity in front of the famous Three Sisters rock formation. From there, it’s a very short drive to Scenic World on the clifftop overlooking the spectacular Jamison Valley. Your tickets to ride the Scenic Railway, Skyway and Cableway are included in the cost of the tour. You can ride them in the order of your choice.
The Scenic Skyway is a 720-metre trip from one side of a deep ravine to the other, travelling in a cable car suspended 270 metres above the forested terrain below! The 360-degree views are sensational.
The Scenic Cableway descends 545 metres into the Jamison Valley. The ride provides fabulous views of the Three Sisters, Orphan Rock and Katoomba Falls.
The Scenic Railway is the steepest passenger railway journey in the world. Once used to haul coal up from the mines on the valley floor (still visible), the Scenic Railway has been thrilling passengers of all ages for decades.
Sadly, it’s time to head for home — but instead of fighting the afternoon traffic all the way back to Sydney, you’ll board a river cruise boat at Homebush Bay Wharf and enjoy a relaxing trip along the Parramatta River to the CBD. Admire the magnificent homes that line the river and cruise right under the soaring Sydney Harbour Bridge. The tour ends at Circular Quay.
This Jenolan Caves, Blue Mountains and Scenic World Tour from Sydney is an incredible experience. Get an early night the day before and be ready for the adventure of a lifetime!

This was one of the best tours we've experienced. On time pick up by Arron, our lovely, funny driver. Oh yeah - add competent and knowledgeable to that! Well planned. Ran on time. Caves are one of the most awe inspiring natural wonders of Australia but one of our passengers was unable to enter them because of recent knee surgery. However she was taken care of by Arron and looked after until our return. A cafe provides good quality food before the drive to the Blue Mountains along back roads through true blue Oz scenery and we even had an up close experience with a family of wallabies (so remember to take fresh fruit for them). The river boat back to Sydney was the perfect cruisy (haha) end to a perfect day.
