Featured guest review:

‘We were picked up on time by our tour guide Daniel, who took us to four wineries, one distillery, and a chocolate factory during this 12-hour tour. The food, wine and vodka were all first class and we enjoyed it all. While the trip out to the Hunter Valley is a little lengthy, it’s well worth it. I’d recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sydney.’ Lawrence T

We booked this trip because we had heard from so many people how great Hunter Valley area was. The vineyards were beautiful as well as the countryside. Our driver who’s is originally from Australia was full of stories and knowledge about the region. Unfortunately we couldn’t hear a word he said because the audio equipment on the bus was of poor quality. We stopped for lunch, went to a brewery followed by a cute little ice cream shop. The real highlight of the trip was seeing the kangaroos running free in the open fields. We ended our beautiful trip with a panoramic view of the vineyards and fields. I would highly recommend this tour company to anyone but please invest in better equipment for the bus.

We booked this based on the ratings and usually find Trip Advisor accurate. Not in this case. First of all, the bus was old, very noisy, kind of like a rattle-trap. It was not a vehicle to take us for several hours each way. Our Guide, "Cheeks", was very nice, but sometimes hard to understand. Part of this was the terrible sound system on the bus, not his fault. So we missed a lot of his talk on board the bus. Also, the bus was so noisy (because it was not in great shape) that it was hard to hear. That being said the three wineries were different enough and the cheese parings were very good at Hunter Valley Resort. The distillery was fun and we got to taste things that were unusual. The chocolate factory was just a stop, but nothing special. One of the most annoying things about the day was our having to drop off one passenger (and pick her up) at a horse ranch. We also had to pick up people in the Hunter Valley for our tour. The latter situation I guess was ok as they were part of our tour. But a bus to pick up and transport someone to another part of the Hunter Valley is not what we booked. Considering the bus was so old, it was a pretty rocky trip down to the ranch and back. It was certainly not part of a wine tour. So, needless to say this is not a 5 star trip, and it was on a very hot day too.

Fantastic day out for our tour of the Hunter Valley, wonderful wineries to visit and great information from all locations and quality produce. Billy our bus driver and tour guide was wonderful, very entertaining and a great photographer too. Great price for what you get, and good company on the day.

Great tour with a good variety of stops, had 13 on our group which was a nice number, Sam our driver and tour guide, was very friendly and knowledgeable. Did introductions for us all on the bus which was a good ice breaker, for us getting to know each other. Lovely lunch, well worth the money, a must do.
