‘The tour of the Australian War memorial, the Australian Museum and Parliament House were superb. The highlight for me was seeing a live parliamentary session. The drive back and forth from Sydney is a little tiring, but we slept on the way back. Our tour guide was phenomenal. I do recommend this tour as it does its best to cover much of Canberra within one day.’ Joshuacroos

Its more than 3 hours from Sydney. It was our 3rd time in Sydney and we have done the blue mountain tours and hunter valley tours. We had an extra day and wanted to go somewhere new. The long trip was bearable because we had a wonderful driver in our bus who was very informative and funny. We had a stopover in a diner that serves meat pies. They will advise you to have takeout food there since there will not be enough time for you to eat for lunch during the tour. Before arrival in Canbrerra, you will be taken to a lookout point overlooking the city. Nice scenery and you can appreciate the city more. Then we went to the War Memorial and Museum. We were told to eat our lunch before the tour starts at 1pm. All of us went to the cafe beside the Memorial to eat. After lunch, we went to the entrance of the War Memorial to wait for our guide at around 1pm. We were there for about 15mins before we realized that the elderly gentleman who was just standing there was our guide. I am sorry to say this but not only did we start late but he was very slow in speaking and explaining things. We ended up rushing everything to make up for the time lost. I personally like the War Museum and would have wanted to stay longer but that was just not possible. Compared to Sydney, Canbrerra is quite smaller and slower pace. More like a provincial city than the Capital of Australia. It was a very long day but highly educational.

Very nice day out of the Sydney, although the journey takes three hours there and three hours back, it is worth it. Our guide lady in the city was Barbara who has a lot of knowledge, you can ask her anything and she will give you right answer. Our tour guide man who took us to the Canberra and back was Tony, and he gave us a lot of useful information during our visit, was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I would recommend this tour to everyone who wants to learn a bit more about Australia. And we also saw some kangaroos near Canberra!!!
