What you can expect

The itinerary is as follows:
Day 1. Port Stephens and the Hunter Valley (L)
Once guest pick-ups from Bondi Junction and the Sydney CBD are completed, you’ll set off across the Sydney Harbour Bridge in comfortable air-conditioned transport. Your first destination on this 2 Day Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley and Port Stephens Tour is the coastal retreat of Port Stephens, which is located north of Newcastle (just over two-hours’ drive from the New South Wales capital). On arrival in Port Stephens you’ll have the optional opportunity to go sandboarding or head out on a dolphin spotting cruise (additional costs apply). There’s also time for a dip in the turquoise waters of Nelson Bay, and to enjoy the stunning views from the lighthouse. An included picnic-style lunch is provided.
Next stop is the famous Hunter Valley wine-producing region, but you’ll have the opportunity to taste some different types of local drops, including vodkas, schnapps and liqueurs. You’ll also visit a chocolate factory for another decadent tasting.
After you’ve settled into your cosy accommodation on this 2 Day Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley and Port Stephens Tour, the group will head out for a meal at Potters boutique brewhouse (own expense).
Day 2. Blue Mountains (B)
After an early included breakfast, the tour sets off at a leisurely pace towards the fabulous Blue Mountains. This incredibly scenic drive is one of the highlights of the tour. You’ll traverse the majestic Great Dividing Range through verdant bushland, and have the opportunity to spot kangaroos in the wild along the way.
On arrival in the Blue Mountains, you’ll get to see the famous Three Sisters rock formation in the town of Katoomba and the stunning Wentworth Falls that overlook the Jamison Valley. You’ll enjoy a bushwalk through a lush temperate forest, before it’s time to hit the road back to Sydney.
