‘Adam was our guide on this 12 hour trip with lunch and afternoon tea, koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, Tasmania devils, eagles and of course penguins. Had such an amazing day. We saw koalas wombats and even a Tasmanian devil. We also went to farm house where we could see how the settlers used to live. Very interesting.

To begin - the tour company was great, the staff was excellent which makes this hard to rate. It was a full day Phillip Island Tour that included Moonlit Sanctuary, a Sheep farm on Churchill Island, Koala Sanctuary, and then Penguin Parade. Background information - this was the start of the third week we were in Australia (so we had already seen koalas, kangaroos, and wallabies). As well I grew up on a Canadian sheep farm - so that wasn't anything new. I was mainly going for the penguin parade, and this was a 13 hour tour for 1.5 hours with the penguins. However, a highlight was feeding the kangaroos at the Moonlit Sanctuary. Llunch was below average, but nice of them to feed us. Churchill Island farm was cool and informative (if you haven't watched sheep shearing and a work dog show), and our guide was AMAZING - very informative, relaxed and easy to talk to. Then came the Penguin Parade! We had underground tickets, so we got to watch the penguins walk right in front of your eyes. The guide in there taught us a lot about the penguins, and there was a TV screen down there to watch the penguins climb up the rocks. We were picked up in Melbourne at 9:00am and we weren't dropped off at our hotel until 12:30am (this was in November and the sun was setting at 8:45pm). Be mindful of the hours of this tour, and what the plan for the following day is before booking.

Fiona was our guide/driver for the day and did an exceptional job. It is a 2 hour drive from Melbourne. We stopped at Moonlit Wildlife Sanctuary, and a working farm on Phillip Island where we saw a sheep shearing demonstration. We also had a brief stop in Currie. The Penguin Parade was great and we had VIP tickets so we got a personal tour with the ranger and a private viewing box with binoculars. Fiona did a great job driving, and got us all back to our hotels safely.
