‘My wife and I did this tour and it was fantastic. Our guide Amanda was marvellous and had a huge passion for chocolate. We visited six chocolatiers for tastings. It was a very easy walk of about 2 kms through the laneways and back streets of the Melbourne CBD. I recommend this tour.’ Macca0646

What you can expect
This Melbourne Chocolate Laneways and Arcades Walking Tour begins at the Block Arcade — one of the CBD’s most historic shopping precincts. Built between 1891 and 1893, the Block Arcade is home to many fine salons and boutiques. If you arrive early, take some time to admire the mosaic floor, the domed ceiling, and the fine Victorian heritage detail.
Once you’ve met your guide and fellow chocoholics, you’ll start this Melbourne Chocolate Laneways and Arcades Walking Tour with a visit to Haigh’s Chocolates. This prestigious family company has been producing chocolate since the early 1900s. It’s a great way to kick off the tour, and it will certainly whet your appetite for the rest of the choccy stops secreted throughout this part of the inner city. [More]
Over in Collins Street, tucked away between Swanston and Elizabeth Streets, the Ganache Chocolate Lounge will have you spoilt for choice as you decide which delectable sweet treat to try. Just down the street is the Lindt Chocolate Cafe, which offers a dazzling array of Lindt Chocolate Balls to tempt you. In the beautiful Royal Arcade, you’ll head upstairs to discover the Bruge Room at Koko Black and sample their fine confectionery.
As this boutique Melbourne Chocolate Laneways and Arcades Walking Tour makes its way around the inner city, your guide will share wonderful insights on the history of the Victorian capital’s chocolate industry, along with cultural and architectural points of interest. Most importantly — you’ll get to enjoy plenty of chocolate!
You’ll finish the tour with a fine dining chocolate dessert experience at a wonderful dessert-themed CBD hotel. The superb décor and ambience only add to this exquisite finale. Enjoy!

We did the Chocoholics Walking Tour through the streets and arcades of Melbourne. It was wonderful!!! Amanda our guide was very informative and took us to all the best Chocolatiers. We learnt how to eat quality Chocolate and what a difference it made to eat the finer chocolates and learn the best way to eat them. Yuummmm!!! Thoroughly enjoyed the 2 hour tour. Would thoroughly recommend it.
