Thanks for stopping by the web page for Adam Ford — Australian TV and corporate video presenter, actor, travel writer and voice-over artist. Adam is executive producer at Peppercorn Productions, and editor and publisher at The Big Bus tour and travel guide.
Adam has travelled extensively through Australia, Europe, Asia, North America, parts of South America, Africa and the Middle East. He worked as a travel consultant for a number of years with Flight Centre and Escape Travel, before taking up the opportunity to travel the world himself as host of the travel TV series Tour the World on Network Ten. The Big Bus tour and travel guide was launched shortly after.
With a professional background in PR and marketing, Adam took up acting at the age of 30 before making the transition to TV presenting a few years later. He trained as an actor at the National Theatre Drama School and TV roles soon followed, including on We Can Be Heroes, Blue Heelers, and Satisfaction. Adam has also been seen in TV commercials for Bupa, Real Insurance, Officeworks, Bank of Melbourne, Home Hardware, Westfield and Sensis.
However, as a presenter, Adam really found his stride. His presenting career began with roles on environmental affairs show Ecotopia and the award-winning café, restaurant and resort review series Eat, Play & Stay. It was on the road during a shoot in far north Queensland with Eat, Play & Stay that the idea for Tour the World was born. Adam hosted, wrote and co-produced three series (eighteen episodes), which aired on Network Ten, One, 4ME and Foxtel. He has also appeared regularly as a travel commentator on Sky News Business Class.
Adam is familiar to home shopping and morning TV viewers, having worked as a homewares brand ambassador on TVSN — The Home Shopping Network, and presented several advertorials on Seven, Nine and Ten. He has also appeared in numerous corporate videos. Previous clients include Real Insurance, The Good Guys, Plum Superannuation, Urban Commuter, Touch Networks, Moonee Valley City Council, ANZ, Honda Australia, Cabots, Porfotlio Partners, Strong DVRs, Swann Insurance, SmartCare, Paragon Care, Tint-A-Window, Cura Software, Rob Blok and Latrobe University.
As a travel writer, Adam has contributed to Escape (News Limited), Traveltalk, Flight Centre blog, Travel Associates blog, Collette blog, NeedaBreak.com, CIM Magazine and the QLD Tourism blog. He spent six years living in London and the city remains his second home. During that time he travelled extensively and has since clocked up visits to well over 50 countries, and all but one continent. He loves to experience everything a new destination has to offer and is equally at home in a five-star Palazzo in Pisa or a home-stay in Hanoi.
